Chinese Horoscope Fun
The Chinese Zodiac is thousands of years old and easily predates its Western counterpart. It's fun to read about the traits and characteristics of friends and family and see how accurate this system can be!

While Western Astrology is based upon the months of the year, Chinese Astrology is based upon a twelve year lunar cycle. Your sign is determined by the year in which you were born (to be accurate you must use a Chinese calendar). Each sign and those born under it, are represented by one of twelve animals, and are ascribed a set of attributes the Chinese believe comprise the nature of each particular animal.

The Sheep is the symbol of the Arts. The prevailing themes this year will be of creativity, harmony and nurturing. 2015 is a year to use the intellect over brute strength. For those who rely on aggression, expect to be outmaneuvered by strategy from those who desire peace.

In other years the shy, artistic Sheep may have been overshadowed by more domineering personalities. But 2015 is forecast to be abundantly happy and successful for this peace-loving symbol. (Most compatible with Pigs, Rabbits and Horses.)

Monkeys (Birth years: 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004) Known for their cleverness and charm, it should be a lucky year for Monkeys-- especially in matters of the heart. But don't let success (in love or business) lead you to waste your energy. Channel your natural enthusiasm in productive ways. (Most compatible with Oxen and Tigers)

Roosters (Birth years: 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005) With boldness and honesty being primary characteristics, 2015 will be a year to plan and organize rather than rely on impulse. Use this year to nurture your health and relationships. (Most compatible with Oxen and Snakes)

Dogs (Birth years: 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006) The coming months are forecast to be prosperous for faithful, generous Dogs. This may be the year to consider children. Your loyal instincts will be rewarded but remember to tackle obstacles with intellect rather than sheer strength. (Most compatible with Rabbits)

Pigs (Birth years: 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007) In 2015, the smart and sincere Pig will rewarded with growth and clarity. Dive into new adventures and new acquaintances. It may not be a financially lucrative year but Pigs should be exceptionally lucky in love. (Most compatible with Sheep, Tigers and Rabbits)

Rats (Birth years: 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008) With harmony prevailing this year, the ambitious and sincere nature of the Rat may be put to the test. Prone to speaking freely, Rats should temper that inclination and strive for balance in all aspects of their lives. (Most compatible with Oxen, Rabbits and Dragons)

Oxen (Birth years: 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009) Strength and confidence as primary traits generally serve the Ox well. But since Ox and Sheep are considered opposite natures, working hard at current relationships (not new ones) is advised in the year of the Sheep. It may be a challenging year but look for a financial windfall. (Most compatible with: Monkeys, Rooster and Rats)

Tigers (Birth years: 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010) This should be a rewarding year for the loving, sensitive Tiger. Not only lucky in love, 2015 forecasts little adversity in business or health matters. (Most compatible with: Pigs, Dragons and Horses)

Rabbits (Birth years: 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011) Second only to the Sheep in terms of prospects, Rabbits can expect big gains in money, love and social standing. Vitality in health and all things will play a key role in the coming months. (Most compatible with: Sheep, Monkeys, Dogs, Pigs and Rats)

Dragons (Birth years: 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012) Known for their intelligence and talent, a Dragon's artistic side complements the Sheep. But a fiery temper could make for an emotional year. The first half of the year should be auspicious for relationships while the second half bodes well in business. (Most compatible with Rats, Tigers and Snakes)

Snakes (Birth years: 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013) Abundant in wisdom and charm, Snakes will rely on deep personal and professional networks to overcome many challenges this year. 2015 could be a year to strengthen existing relationships rather than forging new ones. (Most compatible with: Roosters and Dragons)

Horses (Birth years: 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002, 2014) This should be a great year for the optimistic, friendly Horse. Romance, career and health will flourish in the year of the Sheep. Take a chance, try new things, luck should be on your side. (Most compatible with Sheep and Tigers)
